Meet Your Tutor
My nursing journey began at a community college where I earned my Associate of Science in Nursing degree. After passing the NCLEX-RN exam, the first of many adventures as a Registered Nurse began in Labor and Delivery. Over an 18-year career, I’ve experienced working in many acute facets of nursing, including emergency/trauma, urgent care and peri-operative. I’ve always enjoyed being a preceptor and working with new nursing staff and students. After earning my BSN degree, the journey led me from the bedside to the classroom and boy, was that a transition! I was instantly drawn into my new role, and it was the best decision that I have ever made. I became a student again, this time earning my master’s degree in nursing education. Don’t get me wrong, the bedside has its advantages, but teaching has become my passion and each student has a special place in my heart. “Empowering Future Nurses” is more than just my motto…it is my life’s commitment!
